History of Shade of Sere

Overview

The Shade of Sere is the final boss of The Way Between, the relic quest in Equilibrium. It is a Taken shade of Dredgen Sere, the dungeon's regular final boss, and it appears after all relics are placed.

Fight

To reach it, destroy the Taken blight at the back of the Inner Temple room, which teleports the team into the arena. Defeat Taken enemies with the Praxic Blade to gain Shadow Master, then Compel the Shade three times. It teleports upward, where Taken blights can be used to build platforms for a damage phase while the In Shadow timer is kept running. The second phase repeats the loop: gain Shadow Master, Compel three more times, then climb to the final damage arena.

Rewards

Defeating the Shade gives the Energy Conduit catalyst for the Praxic Blade. Completing the quest also unlocks Dungeon Focusing loot for Equilibrium and the catalyst for the Heirloom Exotic Crossbow.
