History of Second Chance

Second Chance are Exotic Titan gauntlets. The lore text is a conversation between Shaxx and Saint-14 at Bannerfall.

Overview

The perk Myrmidon's Reach gives a second Shield Throw charge. Shield Throws weaken targets, create a Void Breach on final blows, and become shield-piercing, stunning Barrier Champions and refunding a charge. Picking up a Breach grants Shield Throw energy. It acts as an Anti-Barrier option for melee builds.

Acquisition

• Exotic armor focusing.
• Originally dropped from solo Legend or Master Lost Sectors when the daily rotation offered gauntlets (solo only).
• Introduced in Season of the Haunted per Destinypedia and others; ScreenRant says Season of the Lost, so sources disagree.
