History of Season of the Splicer

Overview

Season of the Splicer was the fourteenth season of Destiny 2 and the third seasonal content of Destiny 2: Beyond Light. It ran from May 11 to August 24, 2021.

Story

The Vex plunge the Last City into endless night. Ikora Rey reveals an unlikely ally, Mithrax, Kell of the House of Light, whose Eliksni know how to fight Vex technology. The season is where the Eliksni Quarter opens in the Last City.

Activities

• Override: a six-player matchmade activity in which fireteams use Splicer tech to hack the Vex network. It launched on Europa, with the Moon and Tangled Shore versions added in the following weeks.
• Expunge: a weekly mission.
• Vault of Glass returned as a raid.

Armor Synthesis (cosmetic customization), the Paradrome Cube artifact and the Splicer Gauntlet quest item.
