History of Season: Ash and Iron

Overview

Ash & Iron is a free major content update for Destiny 2 that began on September 9, 2025, and ran until the release of Renegades on December 2, 2025. It forms the second half of Season: Reclamation, the season that began with The Edge of Fate in July 2025. It is part of that season rather than a season with its own number.

• The return of the Plaguelands, where Maya Sundaresh searches for Golden Age technology.
• An Exotic mission, Heliostat.
• New Exotic gear.
• The Monument to Seasons Past, a kiosk in the Tower where players can get cosmetics from expired seasons and rewards passes.
