Scission is the second encounter of the Root of Nightmares raid, inside the Witness's ship Essence. After slowing Nezarec's heartbeat, Guardians cross a ravine fighting Shadow Legion and deactivate expulsion measures to empower the seed of the Tree of Silver Wings. It debuted in Destiny 2: Lightfall. Referenced by Acasia's Dejection.
