History of Salvation's Grip

Salvation's Grip is a Heavy Stasis Exotic Grenade Launcher introduced with Destiny 2: Beyond Light.

Overview

Its intrinsic perk, Cryocannon, lets you hold Shoot to charge and release to fire projectiles that create Stasis crystals and freeze nearby targets. Charging increases the freeze radius and crystal count (Flash Freeze). It trades raw damage for crowd control and is needed to destroy Entropic Shards for some Beyond Light triumphs.

Acquisition

Obtained only from the quest The Stasis Prototype, given by The Drifter after finishing the Destiny 2: Beyond Light campaign.

Quest steps

1. Complete the Beyond Light campaign and speak with the Drifter in the Tower.
2. Defeat Captains and Servitors on Europa.
3. Complete an Empire Hunt.
4. Defeat enemies with Stasis abilities.
5. Complete the Concealed Void Lost Sector.
6. Speak with the Drifter again, then complete the mission Stealing Stasis.
7. Talk to the Drifter to claim the weapon.
