History of Resonant Splinters

Resonant Splinters are black, diamond-shaped objects that float in the arena of Nightmare Containment. Shooting them down removes a boss's immunity shield.

Tier III

At one-third damage, the Nightmare of Elykris raises an immunity shield and six Resonant Splinters spawn around her. Once all six are destroyed, two Abominations called Emissaries of Elykris spawn beside her. Killing both Emissaries removes the shield, and the cycle repeats after the next third of her health is dealt.

Other tiers

In Tier I, destroying the Resonant Splinters deactivates the Valus Thu'ur shield. In Tier II, the number needed rises from two to four.
