History of Redolence of Decay

Overview

Redolence of Decay is a Darkness-empowered Shadow Legion soldier that appears aboard Essence in the Root of Nightmares raid. It was first seen in Lightfall. Redolences are most often Centurions, the boss units at the end of each floor, and appear in several other variants as well.

Scission

In the Scission encounter, Redolences are immune to all attacks unless the attacker has the Flux of Darkness buff. Only Guardians holding that buff can damage them.

Once the Nodes of Splendor and Decay are fully linked, other red-bar minors appear. Legionaries and Psions are found at the end of Floor 1, Gladiators on Floor 2 and Incendiors on Floor 3. The Legionary and Psion group blocks the lifts to the upper floors, and the Incendiors bar the exit to Scission.
