History of REVISION 7.2.2

Overview

REVISION 7.2.2 is the Exotic catalyst quest for Lorentz Driver, the Linear Fusion Rifle from Season of the Lost (Season 15, 2021). Banshee-44 offers it in the Tower once you own the weapon. It is a grind of a few hours, depending on activity choice.

Walkthrough

1. Gather field data: defeat 50 challenging combatants, 50 Guardians and 15 Champions or high-value targets. The weapon need not be used here. Crucible is the quickest source of Guardian kills.
2. Calibrate: with Lorentz Driver equipped, generate 200 calibration data, defeat 50 Guardians and 100 combatants. Calibration comes from completing Ops activities (Strikes, Nightfall, Gambit, Crucible); higher-tier Nightfalls and PvP wins give bonus progress.
3. Return to Banshee-44 to receive the catalyst.

Note: sources differ on the Guardian kill requirement in step 2 (one says Lorentz Driver kills, one says any weapon); the in-game text requires you to use the weapon.

Rewards

The uncharged Lorentz Driver Catalyst. After 400 kills it grants the Jump Driver perk: enhanced radar, and EM Anomaly detonations no longer need a precision final blow when you hold three telemetry patterns.

Trivia

Guides date from August 2021. No source I opened states whether the quest was vaulted or sunset; verify in game.
