Overview
Quickfang is a Legendary Void Sword built on the Lightweight Frame, which favors handling and movement speed. It is made by Veist, and its flavor text reads "My smile is full of blades." It is the Hunter entry in the three class swords, alongside Crown-Splitter (Titan) and Eternity's Edge (Warlock).
The Destiny 2 wiki's curated roll lists Jagged Edge, Swordmaster's Guard, Tireless Blade (ammo on every other powered kill) and Assassin's Blade (movement and damage boost after kills). Random rolls draw on guards such as Relentless Strikes and Thresh and traits like En Garde and Flash Counter. Quickfang was Hunter-only until Episode: Heresy removed class restrictions on weapons, so any class can now use it.
Acquisition
The game's source line is to complete the campaign as a Hunter, but the sword's real availability came with Season of the Splicer, when all three class swords returned as random drops. GosuNoob reports Banshee as the most reliable source (Banshee-44), with other drops from Umbral Engrams, Legendary Engrams and reputation ranks with Lord Shaxx and Commander Zavala. Destiny 2 Wiki lists it as a Season 14 weapon earned from legendary engrams and faction rank-up packages.
