History of Qiao's Passing

Overview

Qiao's Passing is a Legendary Hunter cloak (the Hunter class item). The set is named for Ulysses Qiao, a navigator on Ares One, and its lore documents cover Project Catamaran alongside colleagues Mihaylova, Evie Calumet and Jacob Hardy. The flavor text emphasises wisdom and compassion. The Passing is the cloak, with the line "Bind yourself with compassion and knowledge". It is a cosmetic-leaning armor piece with no named perk or god roll in the sources I used.

Acquisition

Destinypedia describes Qiao's set as a Hunter armor set from the Warmind expansion, available through Eververse engrams in Season 3; this page's data lists Bright Engrams. The five pieces are Qiao's Grin (helmet), Qiao's Care (gauntlets), Qiao's Heart (chest), Qiao's Strides (legs) and Qiao's Passing (class item). Universal ornaments of the set also exist.
