A Pyramid Scale is a lore object tied to the Sanctified Mind, the final boss of the Garden of Salvation raid in the Black Garden on Mars. According to Destinypedia, the Sanctified Mind had made contact with the Witness and the Black Fleet and was left with one of the Pyramid Scales. The scale is revealed to players when the Sanctified Mind is defeated, which Destinypedia describes as the first time one appeared in-game.
