History of Precision Instrument

Overview

Precision Instrument is a Season 22 trait. Dealing sustained damage increases precision damage, so the longer you keep hitting a target the stronger your precision hits get. It rolls on many weapon types, and an enhanced version exists.

Effect and values

Each weapon hit adds a stack that lasts 1.25 seconds, up to 6 stacks. The precision damage bonus per stack is 4.2%, 8.34%, 12.5%, 16.7%, 20.8% and 25% at 1 through 6 stacks. The enhanced version improves the bonus.

Tips

Because stacks expire after 1.25 seconds, steady firing on the same target matters more than short bursts. The trait is listed as arriving in Season 22 or with The Edge of Fate, depending on the listing.
