History of Precision Instrument

Overview

Precision Instrument is a Season 22 trait. Dealing sustained damage increases precision damage, so the longer you keep hitting a target the stronger your precision hits get. It rolls on many weapon types, and an enhanced version exists.

Effect and values

Each weapon hit adds a stack that lasts 1.25 seconds, up to 6 stacks. Community testing reports the precision damage bonus per stack as 4.2%, 8.34%, 12.5%, 16.7%, 20.8% and 25% at 1 through 6 stacks. The enhanced version improves the bonus.

Tips

Because stacks expire after 1.25 seconds, steady firing on the same target matters more than short bursts. Season listings differ: some place it in Season 22, others with The Edge of Fate.
