History of Planetary Core

Planetary Core is a location at the heart of Nessus, the Vex-controlled world. It is the setting of the Encore Exotic mission, the final act of Episode: Echoes, where Guardians confront Maya Sundaresh, known as the Conductor, and her plan to use the Vex to convert the Solar System.

Overview

The mission combines traversal through Vex structures with Module puzzles (CONNECTION, PARTITION and ACCESS). It comes in three rotating variants, Overture, Concerto and Coda, which differ in difficulty and some mechanics. A hidden timed difficulty can be activated during the opening traversal, and completing it under the 35-minute limit awards the Transient Whisperer emblem.

Rewards

First completion grants the Choir of One Exotic Auto Rifle and opens the path to the mission's secrets, catalysts and extra story. Guides warned at launch that the reward requires completing Act 1 and Act 2 story content first, even though the mission can be started earlier.

Access

Guides differ on whether the mission launches from the H.E.L.M. via Failsafe or from the Director.
