History of Pinnacle Cap

The '''Pinnacle Cap''' is the power level used as the reference point for suggested Power Levels in Nightfall strikes. Guidance is written relative to it: Hero Nightfalls suggest a level 40 below the Pinnacle Cap, Legend suggests 10 below the Pinnacle Cap or the Powerful Cap, and Master suggests 20 above it. Grandmaster Nightfalls suggest 40 above the Pinnacle Cap, and Contest modifiers lower the player's level to 15 above it.

The cap value changes with each season. The source used for these offsets is an older revision of the Nightfall page and does not give a numeric value, so check the current season's power levels in-game or in recent guides.
