Ophidian Aspect is an Exotic gauntlet piece for Warlocks, introduced in Season 2.
Overview
The intrinsic perk, Cobra Totemic, improves weapon ready and reload speed and provides a small airborne-effectiveness benefit. Bungie’s Season 21 tuning in May 2023 removed Ophidian Aspect’s extended melee range. The current Bungie item tooltip still includes melee range, but that string conflicts with the dated patch note and does not establish that the gameplay effect returned.
Acquisition
- Random drop from Exotic Engrams and extremely rare world drops.
- Master Rahool offers Novel Focusing for past-expansion Exotic armor; this option became available without a reputation-track reset on July 15, 2025. Check the vendor for current eligibility and requirements.
- Re-obtainable from Collections after the first drop.
