History of No Turning Jack

Overview

No Turning Jack is a Triumph in Destiny 2. It is earned by catching a No Turning Jack, a Legendary fish, at one of the fishing ponds.

How to complete

1. Get a Fishing Tackle from Suraya Hawthorne.
2. Collect bait by completing other activities, gathering resources, or collecting Alkane in Deep Dives. Each cast uses one bait.
3. Go to a Fishing Pond and stand on its edge to cast. Ponds are in the Outskirts in the European Dead Zone, in The Cistern on Nessus, and in the Miasma in the Court of Savathûn.
4. Wait for the bite, then press interact quickly to get a Perfect Catch, which reels in rarer and larger fish. Missing the timing slightly gives a normal catch; missing by too much gives an Empty Hook.
5. Walk over the caught fish to collect it.

Tips

• Catching Legendary or rarer fish raises the communal Focused Fishing bar, which makes rarer fish appear more often.
• A pond disappears when another Public Event starts and reappears a few seconds after that event ends.
• Perfect Catches are the only reliable way to land the rarer fish, so keep your timing tight on every cast.
