Overview
The Nightfall (triumph) is a triumph in Destiny 2 with a score of 10. It requires the player to complete Nightfall strikes during Season of the Chosen.
How to complete
To complete this triumph, players must finish at least one Nightfall strike while Season of the Chosen is active. Nightfall is a Vanguard playlist activity presided by Zavala. The activity features a rotating selection of strikes or battlegrounds, with modifiers including a personal Threat Modifier, seasonal Surge modifiers, and a rotating Overcharged weapon.
The activity offers three difficulty levels: Hero, Legend, and Master. Hero difficulty allows matchmaking and applies two modifiers alongside the Threat, Surges, and Overcharges, as well as the Champion Foes modifier. Legend difficulty removes matchmaking, adds the Shielded Foes and Equipment Locked modifiers. Master difficulty adds another modifier and the Champions Mob modifier, while also removing matchmaking.
Scoring is based on enemy kills, with increased points for Elite, Major, and Ultra combatants, as well as multi-kills or precision damage. Collecting Orbs of Power and reviving teammates also increases the score. Defeating all Champions in the strike grants Platinum rewards, while missing them results in Gold, Silver, or Bronze scores with decreasing rewards. A time limit exists, after which players lose points and revive tokens.
Completing Nightfall strikes contributes to the Vanguard pinnacle objective. Obtaining 200,000 points across multiple runs awards Pinnacle Gear. Nightfall weapons are awarded for completing different Nightfall strikes for the season, with Adept versions available only from Grandmaster Nightfalls. However, Grandmaster Nightfalls were removed with the release of The Edge of Fate, replaced by seasonal Conquests.
