History of New Tower

The New Tower is the rebuilt Tower, the Vanguard's headquarters and social hub, atop the defensive wall encircling the Last City on Earth. The original Tower was destroyed at the onset of the Red War.

After Dominus Ghaul and his Red Legion were defeated, the Vanguard opened facilities on the wall's ramparts while the original Tower was rebuilt. The new Tower initially offered a view of the Traveler as it reawakened. The Traveler later left to confront The Witness and its Black Fleet, and it returned to the Tower to stabilize environmental anomalies.
