History of New Light (triumph)

Overview

The New Light triumph tracks the progress of new Guardians taking their first steps after rising from the grave. It is associated with the New Light campaign, which was released on October 1, 2019, as a tutorial and later updated to become a complete campaign coinciding with the release of Beyond Light on November 10, 2020. The campaign introduces new players to the world of Destiny through the story of a Hunter named Shaw Han and his attempts to hunt down a Hive Wizard named Navôta, who is an Eir Spawn to avenge his fireteam.

How to complete

To complete this triumph, players must progress through the New Light campaign missions. The campaign features the following story missions:

• A Guardian Rises: A new Guardian is created and attempts to escape the Cosmodrome.
• Schism: The Guardian searches for Shaw's missing fireteam members, Cas and Maeve.
• Cold Boot: The Guardian is tasked to open an array that links to the rest of the solar system.
• Vendetta: Shaw Han leaves the new Guardian to take down the growing Hive threat. The Guardian attempts to follow.
• Advent: After saving Shaw, the Guardian arrives at The Last City.

Additionally, the campaign includes the strike The Disgraced, where players chase down Navôta and her brood. The campaign has received numerous updates, including the Learning Light questline, which unlocks new aspects and fragments.
