History of New Gear

New Gear is an Edge of Fate mechanic that tracks gear acquired in the new gear system. The Cutting Edge Crucible playlist is loadout-restricted and requires a full set of New Gear, and the full New Gear bonus is applied to the Crucible reward multiplier. Cutting Edge rotates weekly through modes and fireteam sizes and unlocks on the first Friday of the season.
