History of Nessian Schism

Overview

The Nessian Schism is a Vex collective on Nessus led by the Conductor, revealed to be Maya Sundaresh, a Golden Age scientist. After the Witness's death an artifact called the Echo of Command fell to Nessus and Maya used it to command local Vex and give them individuality, so these Vex can think independently and, for example, retreat strategically instead of fighting as one hivemind.

Goals

The Conductor wants to spread Radiolaria across the Solar System in order to recreate a Golden Age. Guardians defeated several of her minds and forced her retreat, but the Schism continues to pursue her vision in The Edge of Fate.
