Mor'ak, Lightstealer

Overview

Mor'ak, Lightstealer is the final boss of PsiOps Battleground: EDZ, introduced in Season of the Risen. He is an Ultra-ranked Hive Lightbearer Acolyte of the Lucent Brood, who leads hunting parties across the European Dead Zone to steal Guardians' light. The activity remains available after the season ends, from the Destinations tab (EDZ) or the PsiOps Battleground playlists.

Fight

Follow the waypoint from the first hunting party through a portal to the Dark Forest. Each Portalguard is shielded and can only be made vulnerable with Relic weapons, which drop from Lucent Reliquists. Destroy the Ghosts attached to Portalguards, or they will respawn. Stronger enemies, including Ogres, join the fight near the last Portalguard. The final portal leads to Mor'ak. Damage him until one health bar is empty, and the Cabal Psions subdue him and pull the fireteam into the Mindscape.

In the Mindscape, Mor'ak teleports away each time he loses a third of his health, and an Aspect of Savathun appears. Destroy each Aspect with the Synaptic Spear, marked by a waypoint, then Mor'ak returns. The Synaptic Spear can also clear several of the other enemies in the area. His main danger is Blade Barrage. A charging barrage shows as several flaming blades circling above his head, so keep moving until it is over. Once his last health bar is gone he is captured, and the chest nearby holds the rewards.
