History of Memory: Divisive Darkness

Memory: Divisive Darkness is a Story-type activity entry in The Pale Heart for Destiny 2: The Final Shape. It is not a mission with an encounter: the Memory is a consumable that marks the location of a hidden Prismatic chest in the Divide.

Overview

• Type: Story (memory chest hunt); destination: The Pale Heart.
• Launch: Collect five Memory Vestiges of Darkness by cleansing corrupted chests across The Pale Heart; they fuse automatically into the Memory.
• Once you hold the Memory, the chest appears as a marker on the map. No power requirement or difficulty setting applies.

Chest location

The chest sits at the Divide's high point, on a ledge below the icy mountain; fast travel to the Impasse and head up toward the mountain (per The Escapist).

Rewards

Opening the chest grants Facet of Honor (Prismatic Fragment).

The Memory is consumed when the chest is opened; opening the same chest again with a duplicate Memory only gives Ghost reputation (per TheGamer).
