History of Mataiodoxía

Mataiodoxía is Exotic Warlock chest armor from Destiny 2: The Final Shape.

Overview

Its perk, Stylostixis, makes enemies damaged by Arcane Needle emit a suspending detonation when defeated; landing multiple needles on one target triggers a larger detonation. Defeating suspended targets restores melee energy, and Arcane Needle can pierce Barrier Champions.

Acquisition

At launch in June 2024, completing The Final Shape campaign on Legendary difficulty as a Warlock offered a choice between Mataiodoxía and Speaker's Sight. On July 15, 2025, Bungie removed Rahool's reputation track and made Novel focusing for Exotic armor from past expansions available without first decrypting engrams; the item lists Exotic Armor Focusing as its source.

A December 2025 fix changed the suspending burst to scale from the Melee or Super stat, depending on what activates it, rather than the Grenade stat.
