Overview
Master Difficulty "Salvation's Edge" is a Triumph that requires completing every encounter of the Salvation's Edge raid on Master difficulty. It awards 25 score and counts toward the Iconoclast title. Master difficulty and the weekly encounter challenges were added with the July 23, 2024 weekly reset. The figures below are from that rotation and may have changed.
The five encounters are Substratum, Dissipation, Repository, Verity and Witness.
How to complete
Clear all five encounters on Master difficulty. Master recommended Power in July 2024 was 2010, which was also the Master power cap. Fireteam Power applies, so a teammate at 2015 or higher scales the rest of the team to 2010.
The weekly encounter challenges, with tips from the July 2024 rotation:
- Scenic Route: Kill only the Overload Minotaur in the fourth room of the chain. Hobgoblins in the early rooms mean you will kill it, while Attendant majors mean you will not.
- At Capacity: You cannot deposit Resonance into the chest without three stacks. Stagger your pickups so you have enough for three-minute damage phases. Master spawns Overload Champions during the Resonance phase.
- Balanced Diet: You cannot pick up the same Resonance type twice in a row, and this carries across rooms. Close your own starting conductor last. On Master, prioritize Tormentors, Subjugators and Scorpius turrets.
- Varied Geometry: You cannot use the same 3D shape to exit solo rooms until all six have been used. In the second phase, use pure shapes (sphere, cube, pyramid). Master adds Unstoppable Ogres in solo rooms, so make sure everyone can handle Unstoppables.
- Coordinated Efforts: Break all six glyphs within a few seconds of each other. Each fireteam member gets the Glyphbreaker buff by shooting the appendage whose armband matches their buff, then everyone shoots the glyphs together. There is no chance to cleanse wrong Resonance before the damage phase.
