Overview
The Malfeasance Catalyst is a Triumph in Destiny 2 tied to the Malfeasance Exotic hand cannon. Its objective is 700 defeats with Malfeasance. Once the catalyst is in hand and those kills are done, the weapon gains +20 range and the Vorpal Weapon perk.
How to complete
- Get Malfeasance from its Exotic quest. It starts with the Drifter at the Tower and runs through Gambit and the Dreaming City, with a strike, Taken boss kills, and Motes deposits along the way.
- Equip Malfeasance and defeat combatants with it. Kills accumulate across any activity until the counter reaches 700.
Tips
- The Taken Predator trait adds bonus damage against Taken enemies and Gambit invaders, so the Dreaming City and Gambit are efficient places to rack up kills.
- Multi-kill Super abilities and long-range weapons help with the Guardian-defeat steps of the Exotic quest.
Catalyst
The catalyst drops randomly from Vanguard Ops, Crucible and Gambit activities. Once you have it, the 700 kills with Malfeasance unlock its effects: +20 range and Vorpal Weapon, which boosts damage against bosses, Champions, vehicles, and Guardians with their Super active.
