History of Magazine

Overview

Magazine is both a weapon stat and a perk column on Legendary weapons. As a stat it is how many shots a weapon holds when fully loaded; for Swords, which do not reload, it is called Ammo Capacity instead. Per Destiny Game Wiki, magazine size depends on the weapon's archetype and its Magazine rating, and swapping between magazines or batteries always changes capacity by at least one.

Perk column

The Magazine column is where a weapon's ammo-capacity perks sit. Shattered Vault describes it as adjusting ammo capacity, handling and stability. Perks that modify the Magazine rating include Extended Mag, Appended Mag, Overflow and Ambitious Assassin. Reload-related perks such as Rewind Rounds often pair with these.
