History of MMXXI

Overview

MMXXI is the 2021 Moments of Triumph seal, covering Beyond Light and its seasons (Season of the Hunt, Season of the Chosen, Season of the Splicer, Season of the Lost) plus the Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack. Complete 28 of 30 triumphs for the MMXXI title. It ran until February 22, 2022 (the launch of The Witch Queen) and is now unobtainable. The Beyond Light Digital Deluxe Edition is required.

Raids and dungeons

• Vault of Glass — Complete any version of the "Vault of Glass" raid.
• Deep Stone Crypt — Complete the "Deep Stone Crypt."
• Grasp of Avarice Complete — Complete the "Grasp of Avarice" dungeon.

Story and seasonal quests

• Beyond Light - Chapter 3 — Eramis awaits within the walls of Riis-Reborn. Hunt her down.
• Wrathender — Complete the Coup de Grâce mission.
• Path of the Chosen — Complete all Seasonal storyline quests.
• Walk the True Path — Complete all Path of the Splicer quests.
• Seeker of the Lost — Complete Wayfinder's Voyage, Parts I - VII.
• Graven Tales — Uncover the Dead Man's Tale.
• Talon of Light — Complete the exotic quest "Let Loose Thy Talons".
• Devotee's Remnant — Complete the catalyst for Ager's Scepter.
• 30th Exotics — Claim both Exotic weapons from the Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack.

Playlists and activities

• Ordeal — Complete Nightfall strikes. Bonus progress for higher-difficulty strikes.
• Strike Spelunker — Complete strikes in any strike playlist.
• Taskmaster — Complete bounties.
• Trials Wins — Win rounds in the Trials of Osiris.
• Gambit Gauntlet — Defeat targets in Gambit with any Seasonal Quest weapon: Adored, Salvager's Salvo, Null Composure, or Ascendancy. Bonus progress for defeating opposing Guardians.
• Crucible Contract — Defeat Guardians in Crucible with any Seasonal Quest weapon: Adored, Salvager's Salvo, Null Composure, or Ascendancy.
• Daring Displays — Complete Starhorse bounties. Weekly and Expert-difficulty Starhorse bounties grant additional progress.
• Europa Hunting Party — Complete Empire Hunts on Europa. Bonus progress for higher-difficulty hunts.
• Repeat Winner — Defeat final bosses in Dares of Eternity.
• Special Guest Scar — Defeat Xûr's Chosen in the Lightning Round.
• Lost Sector Master — Complete 4 Lost Sectors on Master difficulty, which can be found on various destinations.
• Seasoned in Darkness — Collect Stasis Aspects and Stasis Fragments.

Score

• Triumph Apprentice — Attain a moderate Triumph score to earn a Bungie.net code for the Sunset Emblem.
• Triumph Master — Attain a high Triumph score to earn a special emblem.

• Reward: Emblem — Complete Triumphs to earn the 2019 Moments of Triumph emblem.
• Reward: Fractic Spiral Sparrow — Complete Triumphs to earn the Fractic Spiral Sparrow.

Not gildable and no longer obtainable.

Tips and time

• Vault of Glass can be done in any version; a fusion rifle and the Particle Deconstruction mod are suggested for it.
• Quest triumphs are seasonal and retroactive only while the quests remain available; the ritual-weapon triumphs (Gambit Gauntlet, Crucible Contract) need the seasonal quest weapons.
• Trials Wins (hard PvP) and Special Guest Scar (heavy RNG) are the hardest; since only 28 of 30 are required, these are the natural two to drop.
• Sixteen of the 30 triumphs need no DLC; the full set needs Beyond Light plus at least three seasons.
• Estimated time: 30 to 50 hours.
