History of Lost Lament (triumph)

Overview

Lost Lament is a Triumph in Destiny 2. It is earned by completing the "Lost Lament" Exotic quest, the quest that gives The Lament sword. Completing it awards 25 Triumph Score.

How to complete

The quest starts with Banshee-44 in the Tower and requires Destiny 2: Beyond Light. Most steps take place on Europa.

1. Scan 3 of the 9 dead Exos on Europa. Easy spots include Cadmus Ridge, Asterion Abyss and Eventide Ruins.
2. Find the giant Exo in the Creation area of Bray Exoscience and press the button to activate its AI.
3. Get 100 Vex kills with a sword and 20 sword final blows on Minotaurs, Hydras or Cyclops. The Perdition Lost Sector is a good place to farm this.
4. Speak to Variks the Loyal to start "Old Secrets, New Challenges", then complete the Exo Challenge it leads to in the Bray Exoscience lobby.
5. Defeat about 50 normal Vex with finishers. Stronger Vex give a higher finisher chance.
6. Run the Glassway strike on Europa. A Transcendent Harpy champion appears at the end, and defeating it drops the blade pieces.
7. Return to Banshee-44 in the Tower and collect the Broken Blade.
8. Clear Bunker E15, the Lost Sector in Eventide Ruins, and open the boss chest.
9. Complete "Reforging the Past" to defend the Clovis AI. Drive the tank from Eventide Ruins to Creation, clear the Vex on Cadmus Ridge, and pass through Bray Exoscience into Creation. Defend the AI twice, first without The Lament, then with it.
10. Return to Banshee-44 in the Tower for the final conversation. This gives you The Lament and completes the quest and its triumph.
