History of Loose Ends, pt. III

Overview

Loose Ends, pt. III is a lore Triumph in Destiny 2 and the final part of the Loose Ends sequence from the A Man with No Name lore book. It was added in Season of the Drifter (2019) and is told in the third person, following Wu Ming and Lord Felwinter.

Story

Wu visits Lord Felwinter in a cold, firelit chamber and asks whether he will break the Iron Decree and deal final deaths to Risen, since final deaths have become taboo. Felwinter insists he keeps strict rules of engagement that protect Ghosts. Wu then tells the story of Eaton, a town that Lord Dryden used as bait for an ambush, which broke Lord Radegast's code. The ambush cost Dryden his entire command, and he later inflicted final deaths on the defeated Warlords out of rage. Dryden has kept this hidden and is now one of the Iron Lords' most decorated members. Felwinter ends the meeting. Wu leaves, calls Dryden, and prepares his Iron Banner arsenal.
