History of Legend

Legend is the title for Destiny's 10th anniversary celebration, tied to the Veteran Legend armor set (and its ornaments). The event began September 9, 2024 (The Game Post, Bungie's announcement).

Overview

• Activity: the 10th anniversary celebration, using the Special Deliveries terminal in the Tower.
• Title granted: Legend.
• Status: Game Rant says it was available until the next expansion (Codename: Apollo) and may now be unobtainable. The Game Post's list of requirements matches this page. Check the in-game record. Most triumphs stay hidden until you find the first Cayde's stash.
• Gilding and time: none of the sources checked (Game Rant, The Game Post) mention gilding for Legend, so it is probably not gildable. Time is not stated; the triumphs are mostly short grinds.

Required triumphs

• Cayde's Stashes: find all five of Cayde-6's stashes in the Tower in the Pale Heart.
• Timelost: complete timeline missions (Timeline Reflections), with bonus progress for fireteams of two or more.
• Accidental Generosity: defeat combatants and loot engrams in Skywatch on the Cosmodrome while wearing the full Veteran Legend set or ornaments. Game Rant suggests farming an underground Ogre near the abandoned helicopters over public events.
• Justiciar: reach the Justiciar Guardian Rank (Rank 8 according to the sources).
• Special Delivery: claim the ornament set at the Special Deliveries terminal (the in-game text mentions giving Dawning gifts, so the record has been changed or mislabelled).
• Among Friends: complete Vanguard Ops, Crucible matches or Gambit rounds in the full Veteran Legend set or ornaments.
• Disappointment: decrypt engrams at Master Rahool. Focused Decoding does not count.

Rewards

• Legend title.
