History of Lead from Gold

Overview

Lead from Gold is a weapon trait that makes picking up Heavy Ammo also grant ammo to the weapon, so it works best on Special Ammo weapons. It was first added in the Season of Dawn. As of July 2024, each Heavy Ammo pickup grants 25% of your maximum special ammo reserve, even while the weapon is stowed. Equipping two special weapons halves that amount. Players mostly value it in PvE boss fights. Opinions in PvP are mixed. It is a strong first-column choice on The Call because the weapon otherwise runs out of special ammo quickly. It rolls on a wide range of weapons, including Gallant Charge and Trophy Hunter.
