History of Jötunn Catalyst

Overview

The Jötunn Catalyst is the Exotic catalyst for Jötunn, a Solar Exotic Fusion Rifle that fires a homing rocket after a charge-up. Its triumph asks for 500 kills with Jötunn. Completing the catalyst unlocks two perks: Cornered, which speeds up charge time while you are surrounded by combatants, and Incandescent, where a kill spreads Scorch to nearby targets, with a larger radius against stronger enemies and opposing Guardians.

How to complete

1. Own Jötunn first. It can be obtained from the Monument to Lost Lights in the Tower.
2. Play Strikes, Crucible or Gambit matches. The catalyst drops with a chance after completing a playlist activity, so keep playing those activities until it drops.
3. Once you have the catalyst, get 500 kills with Jötunn to finish the triumph.

Tips

Cornered works while you are surrounded, so crowded Strike encounters suit it, and Incandescent spreads scorch further against stronger enemies. Drops are random and can be slow, so keep playing the activities that have the catalyst.
