History of Insidious (triumph)

Overview

The Insidious triumph tracks the completion of Deepsight Resonance extractions for the Insidious Pulse Rifle. The objective requires the player to achieve five Pattern progress completions. Completing these extractions unlocks the weapon's Pattern, allowing it to be crafted.

How to complete

To complete the Insidious triumph, players must acquire the Insidious weapon and utilize the Deepsight Resonance extraction system. The weapon is a Legendary Pulse Rifle obtainable from the second and final encounters in the Vow of the Disciple Raid.

Once the weapon is acquired, players must complete five Deepsight extractions. Each extraction requires the weapon to be deployed in a Deepsight activity, where the player reveals hidden nodes to unlock the Pattern progress. This process must be repeated until the Pattern progress reaches five.

The Insidious is associated with the Shape: Deception weapon description. It was introduced in Destiny 2 during The Witch Queen expansion. An Adept version of the weapon, which can equip Adept mods and receives extra stats from masterworking, is available through the Master difficulty version of the Vow of the Disciple Raid, though the triumph specifically tracks the standard Pattern completion.
