History of Independent Variable

Overview

The Independent Variable is a Vex Minotaur in the final encounter of Encore: Overture, the Parodos, Choral Mind fight. Defeating it after the encounter begins yields the Connection module.

Connection module

The module is deposited in the center terminal, and the conflux that appears there can then be interacted with. Connection spawns platforms and Vex plates near the boss. Partition, a separate module, drops from a different minotaur near the dunk terminal in the first puzzle room, not from the Independent Variable.
