In This Life or the Next is a Triumph in Destiny 2. Its objective is to eliminate the opponent who last eliminated you. Progress is tracked as medals earned.

How to complete

The triumph is tied to player-versus-player combat in the Crucible. Since it depends on who ended your last life, the practical approach is to stay in matches long enough to have a rematch and to watch which opponent eliminated you. Modes with respawns and steady kill flow, such as Crucible Control or Clash, give the most chances to meet the same player again. Weapons that win close engagements and a loadout that lets you re-engage quickly after a death help you take the rematch.
