History of IV. MSUND12/Personal

Overview

IV. MSUND12/Personal is a Triumph in Destiny 2 tied to chapter IV of the lore book Polyphony, added with The Final Shape in July 2024. The chapter is a personal log written by an unnamed narrator who is reawakened among the Vex. The log is filed under MSUND12, the name Maya Sundaresh used inside the Vex Network.

Lore chapter

The narrator grieves after realising that a beloved person is dead rather than simply absent. After gaining access to the Vex records of Earth, they read about the Collapse and judge humanity's decline into anarchy, feudalism and military rule harshly. They argue that the future can only be built by looking backward at what humanity lost. The narrator claims to have mastered a phrase that can divert the Vex's cycle of iteration and death, which they plan to use to reclaim home, but first they must resolve a "primary query" that keeps returning false results.
