II. Theory is a Triumph in Destiny 2 for the chapter “II. Theory” in the Purpose Lore book, which was added in Season of the Deep in May 2023.

Chapter

The chapter is written in the third person and centres on Ikora Rey and Osiris. Ikora studies the Veil’s signal through Strand threads and suspects it has grown stronger since Titan was recovered. Osiris suggests the Veil reacted to Titan’s return, and they discuss finding the rhythm of the solar system before the signal can be read. Ikora argues that Titan, Savathûn’s throne world and the sites where egregore have been found all trace back to Neomuna and the Veil. They also debate whether Sloane’s suggested reliance on the worm, Ahsa, is a sound backup plan. The chapter closes with Ikora insisting, “It has to connect.”
