History of II: Freedom

Overview

II: Freedom is a Triumph in Destiny 2 for the chapter “II: Freedom” in the The Book of Unmaking Lore book, which was added in Season of the Forge in January 2019.

Chapter

The book’s passages are translated from the 7th Book of Sorrow, with handwritten notes by Teben Grey, a Shadow of Dredgen Yor. The chapter opens with verses on the mind and the flesh, including “Mortal flesh is a prison that makes liars of our beautiful caged minds.” It then turns to a note on the search for Dredgen Yor’s story. The Vanguard refused to share details of his deeds, and Lord Shaxx warned the searchers off. The note describes the search as beginning with a legend, and describes the Crucible as a vital outlet for Guardians.
