History of I—From Great Distance

Overview

I—From Great Distance is the first chapter of the lore book Sightlines, which follows Devrim Kay. The text is third-person narration. Devrim watches orbital combat from a broken church window in Trostland. He sees a fallen Vanguard fighter's fuselage crash toward Earth and reports the losses over comms. His binoculars are destroyed when they hit the cobblestones below.

The Ishtar Collective archive lists the entry as added with Lightfall (18 April 2023). A fan blog calls Sightlines the Season of Defiance seasonal book, so the season is reported differently across sources.
