History of Hunter Vanguard

Overview

The Hunter Vanguard is the leader of the Hunter class and one of the three Vanguard leaders defending the Last City, alongside the Titan and Warlock Vanguards. They mentor newly risen Guardians and organise operations against threats. Unlike Titans and Warlocks, who elect their leaders, Hunters use the Vanguard Dare: candidates challenge each other and the loser traditionally takes the role, which many resist because it ties them to the Tower.

Holders

Destinypedia lists Tallulah Fairwind as the first, then Caliban-8, Aparajita-4, Kauko Swiftriver, Andal Brask and Cayde-6, who was killed in Destiny 2: Forsaken. Crow currently holds the post.

Location

Vanguard leadership works from the Tower and coordinates through the H.E.L.M..
