History of Honed Edge

Overview

Honed Edge is a sword perk in the barrel slot. It adds Impact to the sword, which increases its damage. It rolls on a large number of swords, including Abyssal Edge, Eternity's Edge and Quickfang.

Blueberries lists Honed Edge in a PvP all-around roll for Abyssal Edge, where it is picked for damage. Its PvE roll uses Tempered Edge instead, so Honed Edge is a PvP-leaning choice in those guides.

Notes

• Bungie's item text also describes an alternate weapon action that consumes the magazine to load a round with more range and damage. The guides I checked do not cover that behaviour, so test it in game before relying on it.
