History of Hazardous Propulsion

Hazardous Propulsion is Exotic Titan chest armor introduced with Destiny 2: The Final Shape.

Overview

Danger Close loads Kinetic Exodus rockets through weapon precision hits and final blows; using your class ability launches the loaded rockets, and rocket damage briefly boosts your Rocket Launcher damage. Bungie's 2024 patch notes also fixed an issue with the perk counting certain destroyed objects as final blows, and clarified that shattering a Headstone-created crystal can still load a rocket.

Acquisition

The item record lists Exotic Armor Focusing. At The Final Shape's June 2024 launch, one class-specific Exotic was offered for completing the Legendary campaign; the other was acquired through Rahool's Novel Decryption. Bungie's July 2025 update later removed Rahool's reputation track and opened Novel focusing for armor from past expansions without prior engram decryption. These are dated routes; check the in-game vendor menu for current options.
