History of Ha'lok

Overview

Ha'lok, the Shield is one of the twin Nightmares of the Scorn that appear with Kra'lok, the Sword, in the Pleasure Gardens on the Derelict Leviathan. Ha'lok is a Fallen Scorn Raider of Ultra rank, armed with a Scorn Crossbow. It first appeared in Season of the Haunted.

Encounter

Ha'lok is reached the same way as Kra'lok, through the Haunted Alcove and its 'sword and shield clash' message. When the pair arrives, Ha'lok spawns nearest the door at the far end of the room. It can summon Nightmares, moves quickly, and uses a smoke dash and brief immunity. Both bosses are very hard to damage, so the Unstable Essence dropped by lesser enemies is key to hurting them.

Rewards

Defeating both Nightmares before they despawn opens a chest with loot and earns the Nightmare Breached triumph.
