History of Graviton Lance

Graviton Lance is an Exotic Void Pulse Rifle made by the Department of External Observation.

Overview

Its intrinsic, Black Hole: the second shot of a burst creates a hole through space-time, dealing high damage with no falloff and increased recoil. Its signature perk Cosmology makes enemy kills detonate and spawn tracking Void projectiles.

Acquisition

• Original: a story reward after the mission "Sacrilege", where you choose between Graviton Lance, Sunshot and Riskrunner. Game Rant describes it as an early intro-quest reward.
• Current: Exotic engrams and sales from Xûr (Destinypedia).

Catalyst

Dropped randomly from playlist activities such as Strikes and the Crucible. Completion needs 2,500 kills with the weapon and 1,000 Cosmology kills (Destinypedia; older Game Rant text says 500 kills, so older requirements differed). Since Update 4.1.0 it grants Vorpal Weapon and Turnabout; before that it gave Hidden Hand.
