History of Gensym Scribes

The Gensym Scribes are an Awoken research group, described as a collective of scientists and researchers, possibly a Warlock order. They trace their origin to the Distributary, the Awoken homeworld, and to Techeun Kelda Wadj, the Allteacher, though Kelda Wadj is not stated to have been a member.

Their labs are in the City and elsewhere, most notably at Bamberga. The only known member is Asher Mir, a Warlock researcher who became one of the foremost experts on the Vex and the Taken. During the Red War he set up a research outpost on Io. The relationship between the Gensym Scribes and the Gensym Knights is unknown.

Destinypedia lists their appearances from Destiny 2 (first appearance) onward, including Forsaken, Lightfall and Season of Defiance.
