History of Gambit Prime (activity)

Overview

Gambit Prime was a single-round evolution of Gambit introduced in Season of the Drifter by The Drifter. Teams bank Motes to send Blockers that drain the enemy bank, defeat Envoys to create a Well of Light, then stand in the Well to burn down the Primeval. Search-summarized wiki text says it was later merged into Gambit in Season of the Hunt and is vaulted.

Roles

• Sentry: defender; kills Blockers, marks invaders, buffs allies in the Well.
• Collector: carries up to 20 Motes for Giant Blockers; overshield on pickup.
• Reaper: aggressive; special ammo from multikills, Motes last longer.
• Invader: ammo on invading; master perk drains the enemy bank like a Blocker.

Role armor was earned in Gambit Prime and upgraded via The Reckoning.
