History of Frequency Echoes

Frequency Echoes is an upgrade for the Wayfinder's Compass from Season of the Lost. It is needed to see Data Caches in the Shattered Realm, which stay hidden without it.

The caches are revealed while a True Sight buff from a True Sight artifact is active. In Forest of Echoes, the Frequency Echoes upgrade is needed to find the caches there, and collecting them can help complete the Shattered Scholar Triumph. Sources describe how the upgrade is unlocked differently, so check a current guide for the exact steps.
